What can I say about Cresotech's PocketPoint image slideshow software? Its great! I have been running it now for about 2 weeks and it is fantastic. The installation is seamless and the registration is PC based. They send you an email which contains a serial number. There is an application installed on the PC you Cut-and-paste and it registers the application installed on the PocketPC.

Once installed Images flow freely (even from a CF card) and look super.

Larger images do seem to bog it down a bit, but those larger images look great even when converted to the tiny 240x320 PocketPC screen. Some of the most useful features include:

  • Repeat
  • Shuffle
  • Zoom image to fit window
  • Shrink Image
  • Full screen presentation mode

Creating Slide shows is a simple as tapping on a directory.

It finds files of supported types and then adds them to a list, it even parses subdirectories. Then you go through, deselecting and selecting the images you want, until your presentation is what you want. You can view it in the regular mode or in full screen mode where it automatically flows through the images on its own.

This could be useful for presentations of products to prospective buyers, searching for a particular image you want to use, or just browsing through pictures of your family.

The options are good and well thought out. The simplicity of use is definitely a big plus in my book.
